THE NAIL FACTOR (Pavilion) Review- Eyelash Extensions

Trending all over the world: glam eyelashes.
No make up glam is complete without a full set of natural-looking, yet mega full and thick lashes. Probably made famous by the Kardashian/ Jenner sisters.
I really wanted this look, however I do not have the time nor patience to have to deal with glue and lashes in the morning or any time I go out.
I went to The Nail Factor on Saturday, and oh boy are the purple glam squad a happy and friendly bunch.
I was in the care of Londi Xulu. She was super friendly and most importantly gentle on my eyes.
Needless to say my eyelashes are now super bang.
The whole thing takes approximately 2 hours, which is definitely worth it, considering you want a flawless result without shedding any tears. They last about a month if your good to them and use oil-free mascara.
R450, for a complete transformation, these lashes are totally worth it!

DUT Annual Fashion Show 2014- BLOG THIS BEESH

DUT Annual Fashion Show 2014, aptly titled, "BLOG THIS BEESH".
A fashion bloggers dream, to view the graduating ranges of fashion students. This is where the creative journey begins. These students may very well be the next leaders in the fashion industry and I was so glad to be there to blog the event.
Hosted at DUT, Fred Crookes Sports Centre, the event co-ordinators did an excellent job of transforming the venue, The lighting and stage design enhanced the garments on the runway.
Congratulations to the Class of 2014.

Here is a short video on style on and off the runway.

The Morning Trade- Market

Ever been to the Neighbour Goods Market in Cape Town and thought that Durban should have one too?
Yes, we do have the I heart Market and similar, but who wants to wait once a month to try out Durban's quirkiest dishes.

Well Anna Savage,  the gem who brought you the I heart Market, has planted the seed to grow Durban's most wholesome produce.
THE MORNING TRADE- MARKET
Situated near the ICC, 8 Morrison Street, TMT, runs every Sunday from 8am to 2pm.
This market is all about food and organically grown, local produce.
If you're looking for an eclectic vibe in a rustic setting for Sunday Breakfast, then Morrison Street is your destination.
All food is fresh and DELICIOUS.  Try a little bit of everything. From felafels to cupcakes, burgers to fresh lemonade, this market has it all under one roof.

TIP:  If you're looking for the best Malay Koeksusters or Chicken Po'boy look for ConFusion's table. Something you will come back for every week.

Durban Day 2014 - late post-

Durban Day 2014 was sizzling.
The heat was overwhelming and so were the artists.
However this event boasted a banging line-up which made the heat bearable.
Style of the day; cropped tops, denim shorts, Aztec printed dresses and high waisted leggings.

Beauty is in the eye of the photoshopper.

This experiment hosted by Ester Honig was definitely something I wanted to get involved in the moment I read the article online (ELLE - http://www.elle.com/news/beauty-makeup/photoshop-beauty-standards)
This journo sent an image of herself out to a few Photoshoppers around the world to photoshop her beautiful.
Some of the changes I found really strange. This just goes to show, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

This is my rendition. Hope you like it!
